WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our project is to collect as many clothes as we can – women, men, teens, children and infant clothes. As most of you know, we have two buses, a 20 foot and a 40 foot, we use for mobile events. Our mission will be to hold events for people that are in shelters for:
· Domestic Violence
· Dating Violence
· Human Trafficking
· Sexual Assault
· Homelessness
OUR PLAN
We will fill the bus with clothes, shoes and accessories to take to designated places arranged by the shelters. The buses will be set up for the victims of these situations to come on the bus to shop for themselves and their families. There will be tags on the items but instead of prices, there will be inspirational quotes. They will bring them to a checkout counter and the items will be bagged. We just want to give these brave survivors a chance to have just a day of normalcy of being able to shop and provide for their family. Usually they are just handed a bag of clothes and most of them are already worn.
WHERE IT'S GOING
We will begin our events with the following agencies:
· The Family Sunshine Center (Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking and Sexual Assault, Dating Violence)
· Domestic Violence Intervention Center (Domestic Violence)
· Camille Place (Sexual Exploitation and trafficking for minors aged 6-19)
· Boys and Girls Club (Youth in need)
HOW TO HELP
Simply go through your closet and find any clothes with tags still on them or items you have only worn once for a few moments and send them to us! We will take care of the rest! Give your clothes a new life! We will not be a 501c3 but all the Agencies we donate to will be a non-profit 501c3. If you donate and need a receipt, we will obtain one for you from these agencies; therefore, you can be assured all clothing is being donated and not sold for profit.
